Drake's new start

Drake smiled as he watched the sun start to rise, in the distance, walking into the Haven Area. Not really wanting to fly the rest of the way, because his wings hurt from all the flying he had done to get to the area. Smiling all the while walking through the streets, then he frowned, thinking, "Wait, where do I get a pokemon anyway, wish that i had figured this out before I came."

After a couple of wrong turns and a bit of questions, Drake finally found himself in front of what he had been told he could get a pokemon. It had taken him about half a hour to find this "lab", and the sun was just above the horsion. Stifling a small yawn Drake knocked on the door. Woundering if anyone would be in the "Lab."

When Professor Apple Blossom appeared at the door, she was accompanied by her usual disheveled chaos. The lower half of her clothes were soaking wet, while the muddy Tyrogue in her arms had obviously succeeded in avoiding his bath. A.B smiled tiredly at Drake, raising one eyebrow as she took in his appearance. He was surely one of the more interesting pokemorphs who had come to her door. "Good morning," she said, nodding at him while keeping a tight grip on the still struggling pokemon in her arms. "Are you looking to get a starter pokemon? Do you know what kind of starter you would like?" She stepped away from the door, leaving it open so Drake could follow.

Drake walked through the door, surprised at the mess of the place, probably the result of the little bath. Looking at the mess taking it all in Drake almost forgot about the question that the professor had asked. Fournatally he remembered what she had asked and answered with a shrug and said, "I don't really know, but what about a Riolu, a Charmander, or a Totodile?" Smiled then added, "Sorry for coming in while this little catastrophe happened, and asking to see three types of pokemon, hope you don't mind."

Professor Apple Blossom shook her head, brushing aside his appology. "No need to worry, its all just life as usual around here. Most people don't know the general chaos that goes on behind the scenes at a lab. We just aren't as good at concealing it as most. If you'll wait a moment, I'll go get some pokemon." She walked down a hallway, gently scolding the Tyrouge for his bad behavior.

A few moments later a whirl of blue rolled into the room. Though it was hard to tell due to their ferocious movements, the ball was made up of a Riolu and Totodile. As they reached the center of the room the two sprang apart, taking up a fighting stance across from each other. The female Riolu smiled confidantly, shaking her fists at her watery opponent. She twirled and neatly dodged the male Totodile's next lunge for her. But while the two were heavily involved in their game, it was indeed only a game. Neither of their attacks were aimed to hurt.

They were next followed by a pair of Charmander. The male seemed sulky, crossing his arms in front of him and scowling. The female was more dominant. Walking into the room, she began to scold the Riolu and Totodile, gesturing toward Drake that they were being rude. With a grin she walked toward the pokemorph, dipping a little bow in his direction. Following her lead, the other two broke off from their game and joined her, crowding around Drake's legs.

Next came a female Totodile. She walked over to the male Charmander, jabbering at him while cleaning her claws, apparently oblivious to the fact that he wasn't listening. Lastly came a male Riolu. He looked around, his head tucked in, shyly averting his eyes from Drake's as he looked for a safe place to hide.

Drake looked surprised as he saw the two pokemon, Riolu and the Totadile, came into the room, startled at their entrance. Then he smiled seeing that they were just fighting for fun, no real fighting involved. Then he saw the Charmanders, one sulky and one dominate, and frowned as the female started to lecture the other two pokemon, thinking, "They really weren't doing anything, infact it was quite, interesting," then studied the male Charmander, and frowned, "Quite sulky isn't he," he thought. Soon after came the Totadile, who seemed just like the female Charmander. Last but not least the Riolu walked in after everyone clambered around Drake.

Drake didn't notice the Riolu until a few minutes had passed, the small group congrated around his legs made his a bit occupied. But when he noticed the Riolu he looked confused, "Why is this Riolu so shy," he thought and walked over to him, ignoring the crowd. Scratching his head he pointed at the Riolu saying, "What about him?"

The little Riolu ducked his head, but smiled shyly up at Drake. The Professor looked down at him before answering Drake's questions. "He's a little timid of new faces, that's all. If you think the two of you would be a good match, he's all yours." The female Charmander followed Drake, seeming a little put out that he hadn't given her much more than a second glance. The other pokemon continued what they had been doing, resigned to the fact that Drake did not appear interested.

Drake smiled and nodded saying, "Why not, the Riolu looks as if he might be a good pokemon to start off with the only problem is his shyness, but that doesn't really matter," then shrugged as it to end the statement. Then turning around, back to Professor A.B. the whole time. He was about to ask if he could have his starter kit to Professor A.B. When he noticed the female Charmander, who was following him he said almost sensing what she was worried about said, "I took more than a second look, but I would rather have the Riolu," Then turned to professor A.B. waiting for his supplies

Professor Apple Blossom nodded, returning the other Pokémon to their Pokéballs. She left Riolu out in case Drake wanted some company as he first set out on his new journey. She put away the other Pokéballs, then grabbed a starter pack and handed it over to Drake along with Riolu's Pokéball. Smiling, she nodded to herself. "Right, that's all you should need to get started, I should think. Good luck on your journey, I'm sure you and Riolu shall get on well!" she beamed, saying her goodbye. Drake was now ready to leave.
