Name: Jonathan Incarna
Nicknames: Jon, Johnny, J
Age: 21
Pokemorph: Not a 'morph but has been called one a few times.
Appearance:
One of the first things people notice about Jonathan is his eyes, they aren't what would be considered normal by any means. No unlike normal eyes Jon has wolf eyes, vivid blue eyes at that.
Yet beyond that his appearance was quite normal, from his short brown hair to his fading tan. Except for his eyes nothing about him was out of the ordinary, so he took to wearing small close fitting sunglasses to hide his eyes. Now as for clothes Jon usually wears blue tops of varying colours but usually goes for something similar to his eyes, while in comparison he usually goes for a grey jacket and patrol cap when the weather calls for it. Although the patrol cap, usually has a blue trim.
As for the rest of him, he usually alternates between cargo pants, ultility pants in the summer. Although he would switch to board shorts or cargo shorts if the weather is good enough for them. In the winter he switches to wearing snowboarding pants or utility pants. The pants he wears vary in colour ranging from blues to greys usually.
However he always wear footwear that end above the ankle, usually wearing hiking trainers in the summer and hiking boots in the winter. Although he would sometimes wear his snowboarding boots in the winter as well. Another thing is never seen without is his kit belt. Which contains his party pokeballs, a pouch for ten shrunk pokeballs, a small camera, a compass, his notebook and other assorted goodies.
Personality:
Jon comes across as something of a mystery, his eyes generally don't reveal too much of mood due to his past. However when he lets his guard down his eyes can be very expressive. Given that it can be hard to know what he's thinking at times, however his thoughts are usually related to the task at hand and not random things.
Although like anyone he does have his moments when he suddenly changes topic mid-thought. Personality wise Jon is a rather warm person, fairly quick to trust and open to new ideas. He swiftly learned to be fast to adapt to new things when he was younger. Like the animal whose eyes he has Jon can be either a loner or a team player and is equally as happy in either role.
Generally he is something of a pack leader, preferring to lead then to follow. Although if someone impresses him with their skills is happy to follow instead, although he does try to play a key role in group choices unless distracted. He also prefers the group to be formed of close friends as opposed to strangers, as he will view strangers who try to suddenly join him or his group with suspicion.
Jon is also something of a clean freak due to the fact he has a somewhat acute sense of smell and taste. Which can at times lead to interesting reactions from him when confronted with offending odours or bad tastes. As such he is very fond of staying clean and keeping those around him clean to avoid his nose acting up. He is also very fond of his food and will often take the time out to cook a proper meal or find a good restaurant.
Finally Jon is a very loyal person and once his trust is broken or abused he finds it hard to forgive someone, although he will listen to their reasons for betraying him and try to forgive them if he finds the reason justified.
History:
Jon's life has been one of relative seclusion as he lived on a small island with a pokemon researcher, Doctor Frank Incarna, who adopted him before he can remember after he lost his own son in a landslide. Frank theorised that given his unique eyes that Jon was probably born to a pokemorph family who rejected him due to his human nature. Something neither Frank or Jon has been able to prove over the years, as there is no record of Jon' parents to be found anywhere.
That is due to the fact that Jonathan was found left outside an orphanage by the staff, with only a note stuck to him with his name on. My name is Jonathan, please find me a home.
Jon grew up out of the way on a small island tucked away on route 20 where everyone knew each other and that suffered little hardship. This was primarily because everyone worked together to live on the island. As it had no pokemart or pokecentre to make life easier for people, however a pokemart employee from Jetsam city would stop by once a month to sell pokemon supplies to anyone who wanted them.
The island lifestyle was stifling for Jon as he grew up, however he taught him to adapt to new things easily as he found himself learning a bit of everything as he grew up. Eventually he found himself helping with rearing the livestock and tracking the wild pokemon in the area. Both for research and to help police any trouble the wildlife caused.
However when Jon was old enough to learn about leaving to become a pokemon trainer Frank fell ill, which caused Jon to put off leaving until he was better. Something that didn't happen, while Frank's illness wasn't degenerative it did impede on his life. So Jon found himself doing more around both the island and the research lab.
However his dream of leaving to become a pokemon trainer was never far from his thoughts and it was common knowledge that he kept up to date with the league happenings, after all the pokemart employee always bought the magazines people subscribed to with him. And nothing was really a secret on the island anyway.
As Jon continued with his life he found time passing by quickly with no sign of Frank becoming better, however at Jon's insistence another assistant was hired to work at the research lab. By this time however Jon had recently turned nineteen and was starting to lose hope he'd ever get to leave, however at some point the new assistant fell in love with his father.
So when Frank began to consider expanding the lab for her to move in, Jon instead offered to move out. Knowing that Jon wanted to be a trainer Frank agreed, of course however Jon wasn't about to stop his duties as a researcher. So instead of leaving right away Jon and Samantha did a trade, Jon's floor of lab for her cottage. Then over the next year Jon trained one of the other youngsters on the island to keep the wildlife under control.
When that was done he finally left the island to become a pokemon trainer, although he did still maintain his profession as a pokemon researcher.
Affiliation: Neutral (Pro-Airore should he ever be drawn into things)
