Well, I really don't know what to call this, nor do I know what'll happen in it. Basically, we'll make it up as we go along. At the start, your character is magically transported to a strange world exactly the same as ours except magic is real but feared and the few who posses powers keep it a secret or would be shunned, feared and quite possibly arrested or driven out by an angry mob. They there discover they posses a power (just one, don't want any perfect peoples). And then quite probably they'll have to do on some adventure or whatever. a voice spoke, booming from everywhere around her. She didn't recognise it and couldn't tell whether it was male or female, young or old, nor what emotion it was feeling. "Wh-who are you?" she asked in a small voice. +There is no need for you to know that. I doubt you ever will.+ was her only reply, before the darkness began lifting.
So, to give us a little information about our characters, I've created a little form.Name: Obvious
Gender: Male or female
Age: I'd say older than 14
Power: Nothing too godmoddy like time travel or mind reading, and shapeshifting's taken :)
Appearance: Only a few sentences in note form
Personality: Same for this, include good and bad points as well as a fear or two
History: No need for much in this, I get that your charrie should probably have had a pretty normal life up 'til now.
Here's mine!
Name: Lily Carter
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Power: Shapeshifting
Appearance: Emerald green eyes, straight lightish brown hair that reaches just past her shoulders. 5'5" tall, with an average build, quite skinny and not too muscular. Not very athletic but has good stamina and can be agile. Dresses casually with jeans and t-shirts. Quite clumsy and has scars to prove it. She is also very sociable.
Personality: Perhaps too kind for her own good. Can't stand seeing something suffering and has a strong sense of justice. Very intelligent and quick-thinking, but struggles with languages. Not artistic, but a good actress and can play the piano and violin to a decent standard. Laid-back and relaxed, so will remain calm in pretty much any situation so to think properly, comfort people and solve problems easier. Likes animals, doesn't like bugs especially wasps, and is afraid of being in small, dark, underground caves especially ones which contain or have contained dead people to the extend that she could cry uncontrollably and actually panic.
History: Average background. Went to a good school, has two loving parents and a younger brother, enjoyed being with her friends, joined a few clubs, that sort of thing. Not much of interest has happened in her life until now.
And now... I shall begin. ^_^
Lily couldn't see why her aunt had to be quite so annoying. Maybe she'd grown, or maybe her aunt had just shrunk. It was entirely possible, seeing as she'd last seen her two weeks ago. The aunt wasn't even the worst part, in her opinion her cousins outshined their mother in levels of annoyance. One was four, one was five, and both would try and tug her apart until either she would reluctantly agree to take part in whatever game they wanted her to play or the two began fighting one another, in which case she would let them get on with it and sneak away quietly. Currently she couldn't stand the two spoiled kids' stubborn wailing any more. Wordlessly, she walked out the room and locked herself in her room, opening a window to get some fresh air. She sighed in relief, relaxing beside the flow of cold winter air until she noticed how everything was starting to grow dim and her hands and feet felt like they had pins and needles.
She rubbed her eyes, blinking hard, but her vision didn't improve. It was just getting darker and darker... was she going blind? She yelled for help, but her desperate shout sounded so distant. She couldn't feel the breeze any more, and it occured to her that perhaps it was not her spontaniously going blind, deaf and loosing her sense of touch all at the same time, but herself... leaving. Darkness enfulfed her now, and when she called out in confusion her voice sounded normal again. "Hello? Someone help me! I can't see!" she yelled, looking around desperately. It didn't feel like she was standing on anything.
She took a deep breath. Something was going on, but everything would make sense soon enough. +You are being transported. Do not struggle.+
She couldn't make out the scene in front of her yet, but she knew it wasn't the one she had left. A mixture of emotions were coursing through her like tongues of flame crossing over her body. Fear, confusion, anger, disbelief, worry, sadness, excitement, all intensified by the wave of adrenalin which made her almost dizzy.
All these emotions seemed to kick-start some deep, disused instinct inside her, the pins and needles feeling spreading throughout her body, leaving glowing trails of some ancient looking pattern which krept along her arms and legs, covering her entire body with golden lines of light. Where they passed, they left a burning pain as though she was being heated and stretched, molded into something else... she shone with a brilliant, blinding and brief flash of gold light which went out, leaving her unconcious from the effort as she blinked into existance on the street of a different world.
Lily opened her green eyes to see a crowd of people surrounding her at a distance, the ones along the outside appearing to be policemen and soldiers with shields. She stared at them, confused, for a moment, before she remembered what had happened. She supposed it would be a bit weird for these people to have an unconcious girl suddenly appearing on their street, but this was a bit of an extreme reaction. Perhaps she was not only transported somewhere else, but into a different world? Attempting to stand up was difficult and made several people in the crowd hold their breath. It was stupidly difficult to stand up, as though it were physically impossible. She looked down and blinked. A single thought ran through her mind. "You've got to be kidding me."
If the scaly clawed paws, wings and horns were anything to go by, she'd managed to change into a small ruby red dragon.
ooc// Just wanted to say that the whole transforming into a dragon thing is because she hasn't managed to get control of her powers yet [/blockquote]
